Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' economic understanding through the use of a navigational website teaching medium based on Learning by Doing among Grade XII students at SMAS Tut Wuri Handayani Makassar. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of six Grade XII students who participated in Economics learning using the navigational website teaching medium based on Learning by Doing. Data were collected using an economic understanding test administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) the learning process. The data were analyzed using N-Gain to determine the level of improvement in students' economic understanding. The results showed that the students' average pretest score was 51.67, while the average posttest score increased to 80.00, with an average increase of 28.33 points. The N-Gain analysis resulted in an average score of 0.62, which was categorized as moderate. Thus, the use of a navigational website teaching medium based on Learning by Doing showed an improvement in students' economic understanding after participating in the learning process.
